4th of July Independence Day
Allah (SWT) says in the Qurโan:
โIf you tried to count Allahโs blessings, you would never be able to number them. Indeed, humankind is truly unfair and ungrateful.โ
(Surah Ibrahim 14:34)
One of the great blessings of Allah (SWT) is the gift of freedom, which we often take for granted.
While enjoying the freedoms we have, let us remember our brothers and sisters around the world who are still struggling for theirs. May Allah (SWT) ease their suffering and grant them justice.
This day also reminds us of our responsibility as Americans to learn from our historyโboth its achievements and its mistakesโso we can work toward a more just and compassionate future.
May Allah (SWT) keep us grateful for His blessings and guide us to use them wisely.
The Day of Ashura
Fasting on Ashura is highly recommended, especially the 9th & 10th, or 10th & 11th of Muharram.
This sacred day marks:
* The deliverance of Prophet Musa (AS) and Prophet Nuh (AS)
* The Shahadah of Imam Hussain (AS) โ a timeless symbol of truth, sacrifice, and resistance against oppression
